Jamie Fortier is an Animator at Richter and ContentOne, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for engaging content creation to the team. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jamie graduated from the University of Michigan with a double major in English and Film. Her career began in Chicago, where she spent eight years filming, editing, and producing videos for local hospitals. She then transitioned to the news industry in Grand Rapids, working as a video editor and animator. Jamie's role in news media evolved from online content creation to producing TV ads and broadcast content, earning her a Michigan Emmy for a series on identifying disinformation and misinformation online.
Jamie loves the creative process and the ability to produce content that captivates and informs audiences. Whether the content is informative or entertaining, she finds joy in making things that people care about using just her computer and her skills. At Richter and ContentOne, her goal is simple: to make people happy and create awesome videos that others are excited to share.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys a vibrant and active life. She sings in the Grand Rapids Women's Chorus and occasionally joins her dad's rock 'n' roll bands as a backup singer. Jamie loves to spoil her nephews, travel, and is always planning her next adventure. Additionally, she enjoys creating videos for family and friends, capturing fun and memorable moments, although she humorously notes that iPhones have taken over much of that work lately.
