Blue Yonder approached Richter with an urgent need: a next-generation interactive kiosk that could elevate their tradeshow experience while overcoming key logistical and usability challenges. Their existing solutions—clickable PowerPoints and Figma-based designs—offered either flexibility or interactivity, but never both. Maintaining and adapting content across multiple industry events had become cumbersome, and as each show required new product-level slides and demos, which time and resources did not allow.

With multiple stakeholders involved and evolving project requirements, the challenge was not just designing a visually compelling kiosk—it was creating a strategic solution that balanced flexibility, ease of maintenance, and a rich, engaging user experience.

The Solution

Understanding the need for adaptability, we devised a streamlined approach that prioritized modularity, ease of updates, and an intuitive user flow. Instead of building a costly, custom-coded solution, we recommended leveraging Genially for interactivity and PowerPoint as a backup format—giving Blue Yonder a powerful yet editable kiosk experience that could evolve with their needs.

Our solution included:

  • User Research & Journey Mapping – Conducted in FigJam to refine the kiosk’s content flow and ensure a more intuitive user experience.
  • Interactive Slide Design & Genially Integration – Designing and building an interactive experience directly in Genially, incorporating animations and transitions for dynamic engagement.
  • Clear, Engaging Copywriting – Our copywriting team played a crucial role in transforming highly technical content into concise, compelling messaging that was easy for tradeshow attendees to understand. By distilling complex product features into digestible insights, we ensured the kiosk communicated Blue Yonder’s value in a way that resonated with both industry experts and first-time visitors.
  • PowerPoint Backup Version – Providing an exported PowerPoint format to ensure flexibility for future updates and events.

This approach addressed key concerns while offering scalability, on-the-fly editing, and an interactive experience without WiFi dependency—all within the tight project timeline.

Result

Despite the compressed schedule and evolving requirements, the interactive kiosk was successfully completed in time for NRF 2025. The modular, multi-use framework allowed for seamless adaptation across different event sizes and industries, providing a consistent, high-quality experience that could be easily refined for future tradeshows.

With a balance of flexibility, interactivity, and strategic storytelling, the new kiosk empowered Blue Yonder to make a stronger, more engaging impact—without the maintenance headaches of past solutions.
